Just when we thought Taylor Swift couldn’t top herself again, she goes and drops a brand-new original track called “I Knew It, I Knew You,” made specifically for Disney and Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 5. Yes, THAT Toy Story.
The song, co-written and produced with her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, is set to feature on the official Toy Story 5 soundtrack, which drops alongside the movie later this month. Honestly, pairing Taylor’s storytelling with a Pixar film feels like the most obvious crossover that somehow took this long to happen.
Fans are already obsessed, and it’s easy to see why. It’s her first movie-only original in a while, which already has everyone speculating about the emotional depth, because well, it’s Pixar, and Pixar never plays fair with our feelings. Add to that the Swift-Antonoff combo, which has basically never missed, and you’ve got a recipe for something that’s about to live in everyone’s head for weeks. At this point, Toy Story fans and Swifties are basically the same fandom, and nobody’s complaining about that overlap.
With the film hitting theaters on June 19, expect this song to be everywhere very, very soon. Grab your tissues early.
