The City of Fairburn’s inaugural Seafood & BBQ Festival brought together residents, entertainers, businesses and visitors for an evening centered on food, live music, culture and community.
Held Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Fairburn City Center, the first annual festival created a lively atmosphere while showcasing the growing entertainment and cultural energy of Fairburn and the surrounding South Fulton community.
At the center of the celebration was Madam Mayor Hattie Portis-Jones, Mayor of the City of Fairburn, whose leadership and commitment to community programming helped provide the setting for an event designed to bring people together.
A New Fairburn Tradition Begins
The first Seafood & BBQ Festival offered a combination that brought together two major attractions: food and entertainment.
Guests were able to enjoy seafood and BBQ while experiencing a diverse live entertainment lineup featuring Mike Clark Jr., Meka Meka, Cupid, J-Wonn, Tyrus Turner and The BoykinZ.
The event also welcomed Pierre Johnson, recognized for his appearances in Tyler Perry productions including Divorced Sistas and Ruthless, adding another entertainment connection to an evening built around Atlanta area culture.
The combination of live performances, food and community fellowship gave the inaugural festival a distinct identity and created a strong foundation for future editions.
ATL ONFIYA Celebrates the City of Fairburn
ATL ONFIYA extended special appreciation to Mayor Hattie Portis-Jones and the City of Fairburn for creating an opportunity that brought different parts of the community together.
