Returning Cast
Season 3, which premiered in August 2026, keeps the show’s core ensemble intact: Zoë Saldána as Joe McNamara, Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz Manuelos, Dave Annable as Dr. Neal McNamara, Nicole Kidman as Kaitlyn Meade, Morgan Freeman as Edwin Mullins, and Michael Kelly as Byron Westfield, alongside the rest of the Lioness team — Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, and Jonah Wharton. New to Season 3
- Ian Bohen as Grady, a Delta Force operator — a familiar face to Taylor Sheridan fans from his role in Yellowstone. (More on that connection: Where You’ve Seen the Lioness Cast Before.)
- Elizaveta Neretin as Oleksandra Balakin, a Ukrainian double agent and former Russian intelligence officer turned CIA asset
- Lev Gorn as Maxim Petrov, a Russian Deputy Ambassador
What’s Different This Season
The new additions — a Delta Force operator, a Ukrainian intelligence agent, and a Russian diplomat — point to Season 3 widening the show’s geopolitical scope beyond the counterterrorism focus of the first two seasons.
Why the New Additions Matter
Grady, Oleksandra Balakin, and Maxim Petrov aren’t just new faces — their roles as a Delta Force operator, a Ukrainian intelligence agent, and a Russian diplomat push the show’s conflict beyond the counterterrorism missions of Seasons 1 and 2 into great-power rivalry, a shift that mirrors how Lioness creator Taylor Sheridan has expanded the scope of his other series across multiple seasons.
